Angels Pitcher Nick Adenhart

I'm not really sure how to talk abou this one. Angels 22-year old starting pitcher Nick Adenhart passed away passed away early this morning after their car was struck by a minivan that ran a red light. ESPN reported that Adenhart passed away while in surgery. The kid was 22 and had his best outing last night which is really unfortunate. He was drafted by the Angels in 2004 and was going to be relied on this season after being the top prospect in the Angels organization. The angels game on Thursday has been postponed. It's just so sad to see this happen, and is really unfortunate. It should be noted as well I think that the driver who hit Adenhart's car had a bloog alcohol level above the legal limit and also fled the scene of the accident. I know this is a baseball blog but this is just a reminder not to drink and drive. It's really not worth risking something like this. That's all I'll say as far as things unrelated to baseball go. The BLBB Staff sends their condolences to the Angels organization and most importantly the family of Adenhart.
