Pirates lose to a community college

I'm going to be hearing about this for awhile...

Manatee Community College beat the Pittsburgh Pirates today 6-4. Granted, the Pirates were playing all minor leaguers, but still. That's bad. Here's the box score.

Virgil Vazquez started for the Bucs and pitched horribly. Imagine, this guy was in the hunt for a rotation spot as of yesterday morning. I guess the Pirates made the right decision not to have him in the majors. If you are giving up 3 ER and 5 hits over 4.2 innings to community college players, imagine what would happen when he faced the Cubs. Aramis Ramirez and Alfonso Soriano are a little better than Jonathan Rodriguez and Tony Mitchell.

Steven Pearce hit the lone home run for the Bucs.
